How an app profile is produced
- Establish identity.
Confirm official product, operator or developer, store sources, and conflicting names.
- Classify the product model.
Keep private-club, social-currency, browser, free-play, and regulated-money concepts distinct.
- Test what is observable.
Record version, device, date, context, method, and result for first-hand observations.
- Publish the boundary.
Attribute claims, preserve unknowns, show material limitations, and exclude unreviewed private fields.
Eligibility and selection
Eligibility
- Approved application record
- Separately reviewed club record and relationship
- Current evidence adequate for the claim
- Known risks and unknowns can be stated clearly
Selection
- Named user and use case
- Comparison against realistic alternatives
- Evidence-backed reason for selection
- Editor-controlled UTC effective and expiry times
A workbook row, club identifier, affiliate relationship, payment, or unavailable prior pick cannot automatically create or replace a recommendation.
Four labels, four different meanings
Named operator, developer, store, policy, club, or other first-party statement.
Dated first-hand test with reproducible context and a limited conclusion.
Attributed external statement with relevant counterpoints and uncertainty.
Missing, conflicting, unavailable, or stale evidence. Unknown is not a negative finding.
Verification dates must mean something
A visible date records a substantive check of the claim or content. Each consequential fact carries the applicable source, check context, and stale or unavailable state. Decorative “updated today” labels are prohibited.
Commercial relationships follow the decision
Compensation cannot affect publication eligibility, Daily Pick selection, directory ordering, comparison outcomes, or editorial wording. An affiliate link may be added only after the editorial decision and with an adjacent disclosure.
Challenges and changes remain auditable
The dedicated correction process collects the exact claim and supporting source. Meaningful changes show a dated correction note and preserve revision history.
